Start with the hard deadline
Write down the final handoff, inspection, move, or reopening date. Pickup should leave enough time for a final sweep and for any material that cannot go in the container.
Schedule delivery before debris peaks
A container that arrives after demolition or cleanout begins creates unsafe piles and duplicate handling. Confirm the delivery window, but keep critical work flexible until dispatch has confirmed it.
Set a decision date
Choose when you will decide whether to request pickup, a swap, or an extension. Review the container level, remaining work, and rental terms before that date.
Prepare for pickup
Stop loading before pickup, keep debris below the rim, close any required door or cover, and clear the truck route. Confirm that nobody has parked or stored material in front of the container.
