Measure the full truck path
Measure gate width, driveway width, turning space, and the proposed container footprint. Look above the route for wires, branches, eaves, signs, or carports. A container may fit where the truck cannot safely reach.
Check the surface
Tell the provider whether the spot is concrete, asphalt, pavers, gravel, or soil. Ask whether protective boards are recommended and who supplies them. Do not place the container over septic components, irrigation, or unknown underground structures.
Clear the delivery window
Move vehicles, trailers, portable hoops, toys, and bins before the truck arrives. Keep pets and children inside and give the driver room to inspect the approach.
Preserve pickup access
The route must remain open when the full container is collected. Do not park in front of it, build material around it, or let branches and temporary equipment block the truck.
